Silver Quality Award Program Workshop
Join us for this two-day workshop focused on the Silver Quality Award. You’ve earned Bronze…congratulations! Now it’s time to take your next steps in your performance excellence journey and head to the next level – Silver. Cathy Bergland, of CB Leadership Group, is our facilitator. Cathy has 40 years of experience with older adult services in Minnesota as well as 13 years of experience with the Quality Award Program. She currently serves as an Examiner, Trainer, Judge, and Consultant to the program, so she is well-positioned to help you take this next step in quality improvement and performance excellence.
The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Awards Program is a progressive program that is based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. Participants move from the Bronze level, to Silver, and then ultimately to Gold. Attendees have been recognized at the Bronze and are now positioned to write a Silver application.
Participants will examine the requirements and draft some initial ideas for the AHCA/NCAL Silver National Quality Award. Participants will leave the workshop with a better understanding of what is required for the Silver Quality Award process.
Topics over the two days cover the following:
Introductions, Understanding the Baldrige framework
The Quality Award Process, including technical requirements
Organizational Profile (OP)
Results Concepts of Importance, Trends, Levels, and Comparisons
Category 7 – details, sample results, and tips; scoring
Process Concepts of Approach, Deployment, Learning, and Integration
Understanding the details of the Process Categories (1-6), tips and scoring
Logistics, Technical Issues, and Ideas for Project Management
