Safety alert—Two more Adult Portable Bed Rails recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued recalls for two adult portable bed rail products due to serious safety hazards, including entrapment and risk of death by asphyxiation. Both products violate the federal mandatory safety standard for adult portable bed rails.
1.
Noerishia Adult Portable Bed Rails
- Recall No.: 26-627
- Units: About 504
- Sold: Amazon (March 2026–April 2026)
Hazards identified:
- Entrapment within the rail or between the rail and mattress
- Risk of death by asphyxiation
- Missing required hazard warning labels
Additional notes:
- Black carbon steel bed rails
- Model KDB-504B
- Batch SO2025111104
- Measures approximately 24" wide by 36" high
- Weighs approximately 8.4 pounds
- Model and batch information printed on product packaging; branding and model number also printed on instruction manual
Incidents/injuries: None reported
Remedy:
- Stop using it immediately
- Contact Hurzein for a refund
- Cut off the gray foam handgrip padding and cut the securing straps in half to render the product unusable
- Take a photo of the destroyed bed rail and submit it to [email protected]

MNIENT Adult Portable Bed Rails
- Recall No.: 26-630
- Units: About 330
- Sold: Amazon (January 2026–March 2026)
Hazards identified:
- Entrapment within the rail or between the rail and mattress
- Risk of death by asphyxiation
- Failure to meet structural stability and retention strap requirements (fall risk)
- Incorrectly sized push pins and push pin holes posing a laceration hazard
Additional notes:
- Model LQX-110055
- White frame with black foam rubber handle grips and black fabric pouch
- Measures approximately 13" wide by 39" high
- MNIENT brand name and model number located on product packaging and product label on the black fabric pouch

Remedy:
- Stop using it immediately
- Contact Zhuzhoushizuisuanshangmaoyouxiangongsi for a full refund
- Cut the foam padding on the bed rail handle grips
- Take a photo of the destroyed bed rail and email it to [email protected]
Recommended actions for providers
Providers should identify and document recalled or unsafe products and take the following steps:
- Notify impacted residents and/or representatives of specific product hazards.
- Conduct an inventory review to identify affected products, including those without labeling or identifiable markings.
- Discuss alternatives, such as adjustable low beds or other mobility supports.
- Document in the service plan or Individual Abuse Prevention Plan (IAPP):
- Notification and education provided
- Resident decision regarding continued use
- Acknowledgment of known risks
- If the resident chooses to continue using:
- Verify proper installation (if applicable)
- Monitor for entrapment, instability, or misuse
- Reassess whether mobility or cognition changes
Providers must balance resident safety and resident rights. Residents may choose to continue using a bed rail, including a recalled product, provided they are fully informed of the risks and the decision is clearly documented, with ongoing safety monitoring in place.
