Nursing assistant testing updates

Earlier this year the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announced nurse aide in-facility testing locations expanding. After a successful in-facility testing pilot program, the MDH is expanding in-facility testing to add additional sites. This is an opportunity to offer in-facility testing for your nurse aide candidates.

There are several more facilities who will begin in-facility testing, including several Care Providers of Minnesota members.  Headmaster continues to work with each of these facilities on completion and collection of required forms, lab equipment, pictures, blueprints and completing focused training. Sites are at various stages. At this time, there is not a date determined for the next open application period but communicated during November NAR call sites can reapply if previously denied. MDH has started open office hours with approved test sites to answer questions, provide clarification and support for testing.

Additionally, MDH is currently in the process of reviewing the two-hour time frame for knowledge test. They will be sending out communication via gov delivery.
