On Monday, November 13, 2023, the following individuals were presented with an award as part of the keynote presentation:
Caregiver of the Year
Zuber Hussein, Lead Resident Assistant, Brightondale Senior Community
Dedicated Service
Steven Daniels, Director of Maintenance, Birchwood Health Care Center
Employee of the Year
Laurie Ourada, Community Life Director, Heritage Pointe Senior Living
Rising Star
Jennifer Crockford, LALD/LPN, Glenwood Estates
Up & Coming Leader of the Year
Mindy Schipp, Lead HHA/Dietary Lead, Arlington Place Assisted Living
Volunteer of the Year
Cecelia Anderson, Inter-Faith Care Center
On Tuesday, five more individuals were presented with an award at the keynote presentation:
Director of the Year
Dr. Chiamaka Enemuoh, Administrator, Lifestone Health Care, Inc.
Nurse of the Year
Heidi Althaus, LPN, Serenity Village
Two Lifetime Achievement recipients:
Steven Chies, Principle Manager, Care Paradigms Management, Inc.
Howard Groff, Executive Vice President, Lifespark Senior Living
2023 Member of the Year (and we did surprise her!)
Jenny Gleason, Chief Operating Officer, Living Services Foundation
In addition, at the annual membership meeting on Monday, three legislators were presented with a Public Official Recognition Award: Representative Mohamud Noor from Minneapolis, Chair of the House Human Services Finance Committee; Senator John Hoffman from Champlain, Chair of the Senate Human Services Committee; and Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson from East Grand Forks.
House Minority Leader Lisa Demuth was also a recipient of the award; however, she was unable to attend the meeting and will be presented with her award in the near future.
