2024 Legislative Session breaks announced

The 2024 Legislative Session is scheduled to begin February 12, 2024. However, legislative leaders have already announced when the legislature will break for the observances of Easter, Eid, and Passover during the 2024 Legislative Session. While both the House and Senate will remain open during the breaks, no committee hearings or floor sessions will take place during these times. The 2024 dates are as follows:
- Easter recess: Wednesday, March 27th at 5:00 PM through Tuesday, April 2nd at noon
- Eid recess (tentative dates—may change based on religious practice and the lunar calendar): Tuesday, April 9th at 5:00 PM through Thursday, April 11th at noon
- Passover recess: Monday, April 22nd (all day) through Wednesday, April 24th at noon
Please consider reaching out to your elected officials and asking them to come for a tour or meet in the district during the breaks. Use this as an opportunity to tell your own story about your business, the people you care for, and the needs that you have.
