Change is hard; it is also inevitable. Leadership is critical for helping staff and community members to succeed and thrive through periods of change. This webinar looks at organizational change from multiple perspectives: those of senior leaders, supervisors, front-line workers, and residents/clients.



Participants will learn best practices from academic and professional leaders, applied through the real-world perspectives gained through video interviews with these stakeholders. The objective is to provide practical leadership concepts and techniques for helping others thrive and perform through periods of organizational change.



This webinar is the result of a 2016 Leading4Life group project. Leading4Life is a 12-month leadership fellowship program sponsored by the Care Providers Foundation that builds leadership strengths in practicing professionals, engaging them in a dynamic curriculum through interactive instruction and practical, experiential learning experiences.

Learning Objectives
  • Understand the challenges associated with organizational change.
  • Apply eight principles for leading through change developed by Dr. John Kotter of Harvard University and others.
  • Gain insight into the perspectives of multiple stakeholders (owners and senior leaders, administrators, clinical leaders, staff, and residents) with respect to leading through change.
  • Adapt standard best practices for specific circumstances related to these stakeholders.
