The Care Providers of Minnesota Foundation is pleased to collaborate with the International Institute of Minnesota. The International Institute of Minnesota is a 501(c)(3) social service agency affiliated with the United Way and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants.

The Institute, founded in 1919, assists New Americans in their transition to a new homeland by providing critical programs and services for integration into a new community. From basic services of food and shelter to educational programs and workforce readiness to celebrating cultural heritage with the annual Festival of Nations, the Institute welcomes New Americans to Minnesota.

The Institute’s Mission: Helping New Americans achieve self-sufficiency and full membership in American Life. The Institute offers a Medical Careers Advancement Program (MCA). The MCA program offers counseling and guidance for refugees and immigrants looking to advance in the medical field, as well as those who are foreign certified in the medical fields. Services provided include career review, education, and licensure assessment along with financial aid planning.

The Care Providers of Minnesota Foundation awards scholarships to well-deserving MCA students who are dedicated to the long-term care profession. To learn more about the International Institute of Minnesota and its great work, visit http://www.iimn.org/
