On-Demand Dementia Training Library

New and improved—education tracking is now available! The new platform tracks employees’ participation in assigned courses and provides certificates of completion for each module. All assisted living facilities staff and assisted living facilities with dementia care staff must have initial (new hire) dementia training. Specific dementia training requirements depend on the type of facility and the category of position—direct care staff, non-direct care staff, and supervisors of direct care staff. Care Providers of Minnesota's On-Demand Dementia Training Library offers modules to fulfill the dementia training requirements in Minn. Stat. 144G.64. While the Dementia Training Library meets the initial staff dementia training requirements for both assisted living facilities and assisted living facilities with dementia care, it does not meet the additional training requirements for assisted living facilities with dementia care under Minn. Stat. 144G.83.
