Care Providers of Minnesota acknowledges that our Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGTBQ+, immigrant and refugee, and all marginalized voices have been neither equally/fully visible nor respected in our communities.
Our goal is to create communities and systems that support our workforce and leadership development within our workforce and also support aging with dignity, quality and a spirit of well-being in Minnesota for all. We strategically focus on several key areas including education, workforce development, leadership development, and quality—each focus has significant intersections with equity considerations. To be effective in supporting all members on their journeys to operational excellence, we need to address the equity tensions inherent in the work we do, and the opportunities to be more inclusive in our strategic work.
We have started our work with three quality improvement areas that are identified in our
Equity Strategic Action Plan (ESAP). Our ESAP, as well as updated resources, general diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) information, and a listing of available consultants should you want to move ahead in your journey, can be found on our “
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion” webpage.
