Wrapping up IJs issued in 2022

While I’m sure a few more immediate jeopardy (IJ) findings will straggle in, last week, representatives from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) provided Care Providers of Minnesota with the December’s IJ citations issued at nursing facilities. There were seven IJs in December. The December IJs continued a pretty focused trend…elopements and falls from mechanical lifts—these are far too frequent of events. There were no abuse and neglect IJs in December.
The “good news” is that it appears IJs dropped to slightly less than 100 citations in 2022, compared to 135 in 2021 and 119 in 2020. Read a brief summary of each IJ issued in 2022
