Risks related to abuse and neglect issues come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They also extend beyond the initial VA incident. This session will identify the different types of risk encountered by providers when responding to potential abuse and neglect concerns and will offer tips on how best to address them. The legal, public relations and economic consequences of managing a VA incident poorly will be discussed, as will the impact both good and bad communications can have on a situation.

She also advises employers regarding discrimination issues; policy and procedure drafting; conflict resolution; and a variety of other employment law matters. Ms. Klegon regularly conducts provider trainings on all of these topics.
