Deaf, DeafBlind & Hard of Hearing State Services
How can we better assist our residents and our staff in caring for those who have hearing loss? What resources are there to help? Please join this free, member-only webinar to learn about an entire DHS department that exists just for this purpose and then join us at our April Assisted Living Summit for part 2 in person!
An introduction to the services DHS provides and how we can help. You will learn more about hearing loss, including who is affected by hearing loss, what can happen if hearing loss goes untreated, and how to recognize potential hearing loss. We will also share effective communication strategies, communication accommodations and various assistive technology and resources available for people with hearing loss.
