Caring Careers Start Here is a website and campaign to engage with potential job seekers and inform them about careers in our sector. This unique platform allows job seekers to “match” with employers like you.  We want to ensure that all of our members are aware of this resource and how to maximize its value.

Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Care Providers of Minnesota
Nicole Mattson is Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for Care Providers of Minnesota, where she focuses on Advocacy, Workforce and Quality. Nicole is a Licensed Health Services Executive. She has a master's degree in human resource management from St. Mary’s University, and an undergrad from Metropolitan State University. She holds SPHR certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute and SHRM-SCP from the Society of Human Resource Management. She has over 25 years of experience in the senior care profession, in various capacities, most recently as an Administrator of a post-acute/long-term care facility. Nicole is a Senior Examiner for the AHCA Quality Award Program. Nicole also serves on the Minnesota HOSA Board, is the Chairperson for the Hennepin Carver Workforce Development Board and Vice Chairperson of the Minnesota Association of Workforce Boards.

Community Outreach & Workforce Navigator, Care Providers of Minnesota
Asha Ali is the Community Outreach and Workforce Navigator at Care Providers of Minnesota, bringing extensive experience in employment services, support coordination, and multilingual communication (fluent in Somali and English). She is deeply committed to supporting diverse populations in achieving meaningful employment and collaborating with teams and community partners to promote equity. In her current role, Asha coordinates the implementation of the New Americans in Workforce Care grant, focusing on creating opportunities for New Americans in long-term care by enhancing recruitment, retention, and workplace practices.
