Dakota Conservators Inc. provides Guardianship and Conservatorship services to individuals in the Twin Cities area. We have over 25 years of experience and are dedicated to providing exceptional services to individuals with mental health diagnoses, memory loss, and developmental disabilities. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Dakota Conservator's is currently seeking a Full-Time Director of Guardianship services. The Director is responsible for supervision of case coordination, advocacy services and liaison activities for those determined by the court who require care, legal custody, financial and property oversight/management. The Director manages day to day operations of the organization including employee supervision and employee training. The Director must be able to work in a variety of environments and with diverse populations while adhering to established policies, procedures and requirements in place via governing authorities and company policy. The Director will also maintain their own caseload of guardianship cases ongoing. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Employee supervision and training • Case management (maintain a caseload ongoing) • Compliance and disciplinary actions • Participation in Judicial matters • Collaboration with Counties • Maintain/update policies and procedures • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of diverse individuals • Communicate professionally, written and verbally • Work independently and within a team setting • Productive and effective time management skills MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Travel to homes, hospitals, and facilities where individuals are served


JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB Education: · BA in Social Service field, preferred Experience: · 3 years verifiable experience as a professional Guardian -5 years of supervisory experience in the health care field · Knowledge of social work principles · Knowledge of MS Office applications Other: · Valid driver's license and insurance · Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written in English · Availability during weekdays · Ability to be available for on-call emergencies KEY COMPETENCIES · Emotional intelligence and empathy · Active listening skills · Understanding of behavioral actions/reactions due to diagnosis · Critical-thinking skills · Strong organizational and time management skills · Strong advocacy skills and boundary setting abilities · Ability to lead and support a team · Cultural competency · Detail-oriented · Ability to communicate with persons who may be in elevated emotional states Job seekers with experience in human services, healthcare and case coordination/management are encouraged to apply.
